  • 2.5 IFF Forum III — New Landscapes in China's Economy: Interpretation, Prospects and Reflection
    • China has effectively brought the pandemic under control, and its economy continues to lead the global recovery. However, the recurrence of the global pandemic, the intensification of geopolitical risks, and the rising trade protectionism sentiment in some developed countries have brought many challenges to the Chinese economy. China's new targets for carbon peaking, carbon neutrality, and common prosperity will also have huge economic and policy implications. How would the new international and domestic landscape affect the transformation and direction of China's economic and financial policies.

  • 2.6 IFF Policy Dialogue I:
    — Global Inflation, Debt and Economic Risks: Impacts and Responses
    • The large-scale fiscal stimuli in response to the pandemic has led to a continuous increase in global debt, while the ultra-loose monetary policies and zero interest rates in developed countries has boosted inflation. When will monetary policies in major economies shift? Will the US Federal Reserve raise interest rates sooner than expected? How will higher interest rates in developed countries exacerbate global debt problems, affect capital flows, and increase economic and financial risks in emerging markets? This session discusses the trend of global monetary policies and its impact on debt, inflation, the global economy, and emerging markets, and explores the ways to deal with it.

—Common Prosperity and Comprehensive Sustainable Development
    • China is transforming the underlying logic of economic development: from growth priority to fairness, and in particular, it has proposed the "third distribution" and "common prosperity" goals. It aims to achieve a better balance between economic growth, sustainability, social justice and equity, and the maintenance of security, while promoting comprehensive sustainable development. This session interprets and discusses the policy implications of the goal of "common prosperity" and its impact on China's sustainable development and income distribution patterns.
