The International Finance Forum (IFF) is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental international organisation founded in Beijing in October 2003, and established by more than 20 key international organisations, including the UN and a significant number of financial institutions and leaders. The IFF is a long-standing, high-level platform for dialogue and communications, and a research network in the financial realm. The IFF aims to develop and encourage financial think tanks within China and other emerging economies, and has been upgraded to F20 (Finance 20) status.

The IFF advocates an international and market-oriented operation mechanism to advance the supportive role of finance in sustainable development through its platforms of strategic dialogue, co-operation, communication, practice and innovation, research and training programme.
To foster its development, the IFF seeks candidates globally for the Secretary-general of the IFF Secretariat.

I.Position

Secretary-general of the IFF Secretariat (Full Time)

The IFF Secretariat carries out daily operation and management of the IFF under the strategic instruction and supervision of the Board of Governors and Board of Directors. Secretary-general leads the Secretariat and is responsible for the daily management and executive.

To foster its development, the IFF is looking for the candidates globally for the Secretary-general post, whose role covers Secretariat’s daily operation, executive and other matters.

II. Requirements

(1)Global vision, forward-looking and ability of international communications;

(2)Experienced in managing global public affairs and NGO operations;

(3)Experiences in senior positions of international organisations, government departments or enterprises;

(4)Professional knowledge in economy, finance, public policy and sustainable development;

(5)Experienced in organising and managing large international conferences and events;

(6)Experienced in developing academic communications and exchanges within relevant international institutions;

(7)Familiar with financial institution and government affairs both domestic and international;

(8)Good physical condition and capable for full-time work;

(9)Other due requirements for the position.

III. Application procedure

2.Short-listed candidates will be contacted via phone call regarding the second round of the on-site selection process;

3.Short-listed candidates should provide original files of the certificates and prepare a presentation with PowerPoint display;

4.Applicants who pass the selection process will be instructed to a designated hospital for the physical examination, and will be recruited after passing the examination.
